Sean Cook, M.Ed., Certified Life Purpose & Career Coach, Publisher & Lead Writer

Sean Cook attended Clemson University, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science (with a minor in Administration) and his M.Ed. in Counseling and Guidance Services (Student Affairs in Higher Education concentration.)

Before founding Cook Coaching & Consulting Ltd., Sean spent 15 1/2 years working in higher education, mostly in residence life. His interest in coaching was a natural outgrowth of his personal experiences as a job seeker and his professional experiences as an advisor to college students and student organizations, and as a supervisor to students and young professionals from a variety of backgrounds.


Bryan Koval, M. Ed., Doctoral Student From a Distance

Bryan Koval holds two degrees from the Pennsylvania State University (B.S. Secondary Education 03, M. Ed. Higher Education 08). He has worked in Residence Life at Penn State for 5 years, and has made meaningful contributions to projects related to living and learning communities, cocurricular learning outcomes, and resident assistant training in the department.

Prior to working in higher education, Bryan taught 7th grade science in Harford County,Maryland.  He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in higher education administration from the George Washington University. Bryan writes about his experience as a working professional and full-time graduate student.

Mickey Fitch
Mickey Fitch, occasional contributor to Higher Ed Career Coach and Higher Ed Life Coach.

Mickey Fitch is a northerner by heart (and choice!).  After attending University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and earning her bachelors degree in Psychology in 2003, Mickey headed directly to Minnesota State University, Mankato to earn her Masters in Counseling and Student Personnel (College Student Affairs) in 2005.

Mickey has served in residence life at small, medium, and large public universities, and enjoys opportunities where she can use her passion, sense of humor, and love for teaching to make the residence halls a better place.   She’s currently undergoing her own job search for her next residence life position in either Minnesota or Wisconsin, and is enjoying the opportunity to continue to serve the field through writing for Higher Ed Career Coach and Higher Ed Life Coach.

Shannnon Healy recently completed her M.Ed. at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She is actively seeking full-time employment. Healy has been chronicling her search for that critical first post-graduate position in her period #JobHunt posts.
