Sometimes, flying across the country to attend a conference or placement exchange just isn’t possible. Luckily, there are also smaller regional placement exchanges in addition to the larger national ones.
Mid-Atlantic Placement Exchange (MEP) – The Mid-Atlantic Placement exchange was established by the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers (MACUHO) and features employers in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. This year’s exchange takes place in Wyomissing, PA, February 22-24, 2012. Join the conversation on Twitter with #MACUHO and #MAPC12 and follow @MACUHO.
Southern Placement Exchange (SEP) – The Southern Placement Exchange brings job seekers and employers together to place candidates in positions in the southeast part of the country. Though a large number of housing and residence life positions are available, candidates may also find positions in other areas of student affairs, such as orientation, Greek life, and student activities. Positions are primarily entry-level to mid-level.
New England Student Affairs Placement Conference (NESAPC) – The New England Student Affairs Placement Conference is one of the Boston Area College Housing Association’s (BACHA) signature events. Entering its twenty-fifth year, the NESAPC provides the opportunity for employers to interview candidates who are interested in working specifically in the Northeast. Past conferences have included employers from all New England states as well as New York.
The New York State Placement Exchange (NYS-PE) is a regional placement exchange for candidates and employers in and around the New York State area. NYS-PE is a one-day event that will pull together top employers and candidates from across the state. Whether you are a candidate looking for a new position or an employer seeking new talent, this will be an excellent opportunity to find what your department needs.
