For higher education professionals, this is an especially useful time to review your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 or curriculum vitae and ensure it reflects where you are now and where you may want to go next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Many student affairs and administrative professionals begin new positions during the summer or early fall. <\/strong>Faculty members may also be settling into a new academic year just as institutions begin searches for positions starting the following fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you recently changed roles or have begun wondering if it is time for a change in venue, title, compensation, or responsibilities, do not wait for the perfect opening to appear before updating your materials. Opportunities can surface unexpectedly as institutions respond to summer and fall departures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Here are five important steps you can take now.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.
